“The people who give you their food give you their heart.”

My love language is food. I love to feed people and express my heart through morsels of deliciousness and yet, thinking about engaging a Food Train was a difficult concept for me. I'm not sure why. Being a giver is an easy concept for me, receiving help, not so much.

As I started to share my news about my cancer, people constantly asked, "What can I do to help?" "If you need anything, let me know." My initial reaction was always, "I'm not sure." I explored this idea and offered the question to the Universe of how can people support me. I wrote about that in my journal entry: Universe to Rosie. When I called upon my Love-Humans for their love, good vibrations, prayers, intercessions, etc. - they delivered... AND HOW! You can read about that in the journal entry: Love Notes.

Something that David has been saying over and over again is, "Honour people's desire to help. Hear them and respond to them as they present their desires to you." And so I did again. Last night I set-up a Food Train sign-up for anyone who was interested in providing dinners for me and David while I am recovering from my lumpectomy. It keeps me from needing to figure out one more thing and ensures that David's cooking skills will not be tested LOL. My sweet David has many many strengths, and cooking is not one of them.

I find it difficult to accept help from others, especially since I am used to being the giver. I do, however, recognize that it is also important to receive love through acts of kindness and not disrupt the flow of loving energy. There's give and take and preventing my Love-Humans from helping in the same way I would help them, is devaluing them as caring humans. Not my intention at all!! Now I see my acceptance of their kindness and generosity not as a weakness in me but rather an opportunity to receive a beautiful gift from my Love-Humans. What a HUGE GIFT of love! Thank you for allowing me to focus 100% of my energy on healing and not cooking.

Oh my sweet Food Train Loves, I AM SO HUMBLY GRATEFUL!!!

6 more sleeps...

I'll say it once again, Dear Rosie. Vulnerability is actually a sign of bravery and strength. You are exhibiting it with your acceptance of loving acts of kindness directed your way. Love bombs-- incoming from every direction!
